Welcome to Cleeve Ramblers in 2017

Cleeve Ramblers, centered around Bishops Cleeve and Cheltenham is part of Ramblers Gloucestershire Area. We walk weekly for fitness and pleasure and work to protect and maintain the footpath network in our area.

The footpath network, used by many individuals, organisations and charities thoughout Britain, is marvelled at by travellers from all over the world. Ramblers strives to keep footpaths open everywhere, saving them from diversion, closure or becoming impassable. Please join us to help preserve this national treasure. We monitor footpaths and rights of way within the district shown in the Local Parish Map below. Why not volunteer to check a path near you?

Other groups

As well as Ramblers Groups above, our footpaths friends locally include Cotswold Wardens. Natural England Walking for Health BBC Breathing Places. And don’t forget Winchcombe Welcomes Walkers.

Our Walks

Every year Cleeve Ramblers organises almost 100 of the 600 Ramblers walks within the Gloucestershire Area. Our walks are a great way of meeting other people and enjoying this part of the Cotswolds and adjacent counties.

All Ramblers Members from around the country are entitled to participate in our walks. We welcome visitors and anyone interested in walking can join us for three walks for free. Our weekly walks are about eight miles in length. Once a month we have a shorter pub walk of about five miles followed by lunch, which If you’re just starting to walk in the area would be a good place to meet our regular walkers.
For further details click Cleeve Walks above left for our programme over on Ramblers website or use Walksfinder settings there to search for ‘local’ walks by ‘any’ group.
